About This Course
This 40-hour core course addresses responses to oil spills in rivers, small streams, on land, and sub-surface. It is designed for persons in industry, the regulatory community, and the emergency response disciplines who may be required to respond to an oil-spill incident.
The course utilizes classroom discussion, multimedia presentations, and practical hands-on exercises to provide participants with the essential information and training needed to effectively manage a spill-response operation. Students will assume leadership roles and direct simulated response operations under the supervision of the instructors.
